Youth Athletes Informational Session | Events.
Back in December my sister, Courtney, and I were invited to speak to some teen aged athletes about competing at the intercollegiate level in the US. Coach and trainer, Ishmael Joseph organized a few fantastic informational training sessions for the youth of Toronto. With Courtney playing soccer in her Sophomore year at Miami U and myself being a former volleyball player at SC State, we both had a lot to share. Topics discussed were training schedules, the importance of academics, relationships with teammates and coaches, and our journeys before and after College sports.
Other special guests were Shannon Devereux and professional beach volleyball player, Rebecca Moskowitz, who currently trains in Brazil. Here are some of my favorite shots I took at the event. It was such a pleasure to see so many proactive guys and gals all interested in learning about sports at the next level.
